To understand why increasing numbers of doctors and scientists are touting fascia is the basis of pain and disease, you must understand it's neuroendocrine functions.

Not bad for his first attempts at these exercises. Having bilateral club foot surgery as a baby he had very limited mobility of his ankles and chronic knee pain when we started training a few months ago. Thankfully the knee pain has not returned and his movement capacity continues to increase throughout the training.

TESTIMONIAL ⬇️⬇️ “I play competitive 4-wall handball of which endurance, focus and throwing mechanics are paramount. I use to train doing high intensity videos, traditional lifting & calisthenics, but none of it transferred to my sport in a meaningful way. In handball, the players who can utilize their body more effectively and efficiently while hitting the ball and maneuvering, are the ones who have the most success. I started FP because I found was near me & because they prioritize running and throwing mechanics. I was apprehensive at first (having not seen their results first hand) but after a few sessions, I was already able to throw the ball significantly harder on my left & right side without feeling any sketchiness in my shoulder. At times during handball swings it would almost feel like my shoulder would flop around in the joint, only held there by the ligaments and tendons, instead of being supported. All the static stability & mobility work I had done did nothing to prepare my shoulders for the dynamic demands of handball. Later on in training I noticed that nagging injuries such has lower back pain & weakness in my left knee started disappearing. I immediately saw the value and committed myself to their process to prioritize my longevity. FP is challenging, not just physically, but mentally in a way that I had never experienced in any of my past training. Over the last few months, I felt how my body & movements were becoming more connected but I didn’t realize to what extent until seeing these changes. I look & move like a completely different person & have better results than when I was training twice as much in the past. I’m excited to see where my progress goes next & am fully committed to advancing myself & my sport through FP. Thank you Frida & the crew @ FP Minnesota!”

Quantifiable and repeatable results. Moving better in ways that relate to our primary movements as humans.

Moving better means more tensegrity, less compression / jarring at specific joints, more impact spread through the entire body, tension transferring through the entire body, increased elastic recoil, etc.

To achieve these things you need to alter and optimize the ratios of motion between joints with associated mechanical drivers, tensions, and pretensions in ways that respect the primary human function of gait.

You can't hide your compensations when you sprint, it's an action that requires and forces everything in your body to work. We are all degenerated, so it rarely works together well, it's something you have to work at, just like every other facet of your life if you want to improve yourself. Ignore it and it gets worse, your body adapts to the stimuli you give it for better or worse.

Some great progress here from client Mark! Delighted to see him applying the knowledge so well to get this result 👌AND he's only getting started 💪 .
BEFORE .
❌ POOR CORE CONTROL.
❌ LIMITED ARM DRIVE.
❌ LUMBAR COMPRESSION.
❌ KNEE PAIN.
❌ 21 KM/HR. .
AFTER .
✅ INCREASED CORE TENSION.
✅ CONNECTED ARM DRIVE.
✅ LUMBAR DECOMPRESSION.
✅ PAIN FREE.
✅ 25 KM/HR.

He's been coming to our dynamic advanced class in .dublin for the last 6 months and has done NO one to one's. He had some knee issues and has also had 3 abdominal surgeries due to ulcerative collitus. Given the circumstances connecting his core like this is even more impressive.
is the only system on the planet that can produce results like this.

Isolated tensions and broken, disconnected sequencing on the left. Improved tensioning via slings and improved sequencing that respects the demands of gait and throwing mechanics on the right. Does your body transfer tension efficiently and disperse impact from one part to another? Or does it stop and deliver impact to you shoulders, knees, and low back?

If you'd like to learn how to move more efficiently as a human being for sport or life and have less pain, send me a message in the Colorado Springs area.

This is the difference between moving, and moving intentionally. My client josh shows up every week and puts in the work on his own time as well. His reward? Much less pain than he was previously experiencing, and much more integrated movement.

Things to look for in this video. - Increased thoracic rotation
- better reciprocation between left and right side of body
- improved weight transfer through movement

DM me for training!

Here is another great exercise that integrate your slings and respects ratios of movement between joints. You can still have sloppy understanding and poor ex*****on to negate the design, but the exercise itself is designed to respect human function at a deeper level.

You can't do a badly designed exercise "right" but you can do a well designed exercise poorly. How do you determine the good and the bad? Understand and study movements of the human body that set us apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. The sling mechanics and ratios between every joint in your body. We are bipedal; we walk and run on two legs, and we can throw objects at high velocity with great accuracy. If the exercise or movement in question isn't derivative of those functions and able to be adjsuted to respect the ratios of motion neccesary for those actions, it's not a good exercise and no amount of "good form" will be a remedy.

Every movement you do transfers tension across the rest of your body, even to the furthest point in one way or another. Are you being responsible with that knowledge or are you still training and reinforcing disconnect in your body?

Check out these structural improvements via training systems. If you think you are stuck and have been told nothing can fix these problems other than surgeries, you might want to think again. Look at the increased space for internal organs, look at the diaphragm positioning, look at how much more the lungs are able to expand, the improvement in the scoliosis, etc.

The changes showcased here are measurable and repeatable. It takes smart work between practitioner and client to make these changes a reality. It takes an understanding of applied biomechanics to make these kinds of changes.

If you are in or and are dealing with issues like these, send me a message and we can get you started.

Scoliosis and Hyperlordosis changes here made by CERTIFIED FP Human Biomechanics Specualist . Great things are happening every day. It's surreal to witness! It is becoming very clear to many that .
Left RX is from end june 2019. Lumbar lordose and thoracal kyphose are pronounced, and he has scoliose. Right RX is from end of december. Lordose and kyfose are less pronounced and the scoliose has improved a lot. He started with therapy in november and completed 9 sessions of 30 minutes with functional patterns excersises. He made great gains, but there is still improvement possible .

Do you integrate or isolate?

Integration isn't just putting two disconnected exercises togsther like doing a lunge and holding a kettlebell overhead.

You have to break down the systems that are designed to work together, the sequencing, the biorhythms, the drivers, the timing, the ratios of motion etc. and replicate those functions. Otherwise you are training your body to function in isolation.

Some great insights via

Do you throw like a girl?..
Gender aside, the lack of coordination and dys-integration associated with poor throwing mechanics is an easy one to spot. ...
Why??..
Our muscles are all connected in a fascial web which, just like it sounds, links muscles into groups or chains that can transmit tension between them. This tension is what gives our bodies structure and position. If this tension is inadequate, other areas LITERALLY need to take up the slack. This can be expressed by ranges of motion dys-proportionate or excessive to one another, ie. Your trunk doesn't rotate so you over pronate your feet. Our bodies will hunt for tension as tension = stability. This buffer system is all well and good until things start to break down due to, and I hate this term, but overuse...
On impact, the forces on your body walking are double your body weight. 7x while running! Do you want that force transmitted throughout an entire system, or just your knees? Or hips? Or back?..
Nothing really happens in isolation.
INTEGRATE!!!
Learn how with training and shoot me a message if you want to learn more!

P.S. if you think tension can be created by a conscious muscle contraction just remember. You can't push a pulley @ Colorado Springs, Colorado
