Thrilled with the amount of kitties we’ve been having in lately 🥰🥰🥰

Have been having this discussion with many of our dog patient owners and because this info is so important to the overall health and comfort of your pet, wanted to share here as well.

Knowingly leaving the nails too long is a silent form of neglect/abuse because IT IS UNCOMFORTABLE and dramatically increases arthritis formation. When nails are too long, they end up walking on their wrists rather than their foot pad.

Some dogs are stinkers with their nails (ours), some are babies when their owners attempt, sometimes we need to get creative with how we get even one nail done at a time. Some prefer dremel, some prefer clippers, some prefer an actual nail file, some prefer a total stranger to do it.

If you are local to Colorado Springs area, Republic of Paws in Old Colorado City is my top reference, $15 nail trims and even my most stinker patients have success here.

Merry Christmas!!

Last Christmas, Kota Joe was on the euthanasia list. This Christmas, he is the most perfect brother to our beloved bun and two cats, and such a joy in our lives.

We had HIGH standards when looking for a dog due to our smaller fur kids at home already, and Kota is the best dog we could’ve ever gotten. I cannot imagine why someone would not want this goofy, snuggly, most gentle Big Joe.

When looking to add a new family member, we will always implore you to adopt one of the millions of pets in need. We found Kota through Petfinder, and there’s tons of other rescues local to your area.
Rather than pay $$$$ and contribute to a problem, choose to save a life and make a difference!
