⛄️ Winter Practices for Serenity

Winter wellness is about quiet rituals. For me, that looks like journaling by candlelight, sipping herbal tea, gentle movement, and self‑massage. (Also watching the kids create their lives and practicing co-regulation)

These practices remind me that serenity is found in slowing down. After such a full year of growth, I’m choosing to honor the stillness and let it restore me. ❄️

I know I’ve talked a lot about being a massage therapist for the last 13 years — and now I want to share how I came to building Nettle & Kettle. It was born from a place I now recognize was wrapped in fear, scarcity, income anxiety, approval‑seeking, and the comfort of a safety net I’ve had for over a decade.

But what I haven’t shared here — though a few 😉 people already know — is that I have another brand. A brand that feels like home in a completely different way. It’s bred from my Education in Herbalism & passion in holistic wellness. I just did not highlight that enough with Nettle & Kettle and rested on the safety on Massage Therapy. Let me introduce those of you who dont know:

✨ Wildcraft Ltd
Rooted right here in Colorado Springs, wildCRAFT Ltd is my small‑batch, from‑the‑earth herbal brand — a space where I get to create intentionally, slowly, and in deep relationship with the natural world. It’s a place where I gather herbs, craft products by hand, and teach others how to reconnect with plants and themselves. I built this business in May of 2024 & its products have been sent to 14 states and even the Cayman Islands!!

wildCRAFT Ltd offers handcrafted, non‑toxic products and thoughtfully curated tea blends that celebrate the natural world. It’s also an educational platform — a way to share workshops, herbal knowledge, and interactive experiences that empower people to embrace the wisdom of nature at www.wildcraftltd.com.

It’s more than a business. It’s the sister brand, the root of my freedom in the wellness world and one I’ll never take for granted!

🌿 Important Update from Nettle & Kettle 🌿

After 13 years and nearly 10,000 massages, it’s with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of the Mercantile & Wellness Room as of December 31, 2025. This is not an easily made decision.

Truth is, In 2023, I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both wrists. Even with treatments and self‑care, my health & body is telling me it’s time to stop massage, almost entirely and immediately and pivot. This career has meant everything to me in many stages of my life and meeting the needs of thousands of incredible humans between Colorado & Georgia has really meant the world to me.

✨ Nettle & Kettle is not gone — just temporarily closed while I rest and restructure to a more herbal approach, as intended.
✨ Legacy clients + gift card holders will receive either a refund or a mobile massage session at no extra cost.
✨ Updates on new offerings will be shared here first.

I am deeply grateful for your trust, support, and the countless moments we’ve shared. This is not goodbye — it’s a transition. 💚

Seeds Beneath the Snow

Even in the quiet of winter, life stirs beneath the surface. 🌱 Seeds wait patiently for the warmth of spring—and so do we.

I’ve been reflecting on all the seeds planted this past year: new collaborations, new products, new connections. Even if the growth isn’t visible yet, I trust the process. Renewal is coming. and I want you te part of it.

Tonight is the first night of 🔥❄️ Frost & Flame Festival ❄️🔥 — the Nachtmarkt — and I’ll be leading my first public ritual: The Return of Light at 5:30.

I won’t lie… I’m nervous as hell.
But I’m not walking into this alone.

Last month marked one year since my mom passed. Recently, I received a box of her shawls — and inside was our family tartan. Clan Buchanan. A newer weave, but hers.

So tonight, I wear it.
For grounding. For lineage. For courage.
For all those who came before me and carried light through dark seasons.

This ritual is for community, for remembrance, and for calling the light home together.
