We are taught to speak of the Universe as if it is either punishing or rewarding us. As if every delay is rejection. As if every loss is failure. As if every desire not granted is proof that we are forgotten.
But the Universe is not emotional in the way we are emotional. It is not petty. It is not withholding. It is not sitting in judgment over your timing.
It is reflective.
The Universe mirrors patterns. It amplifies what is repeated. It exposes where you are misaligned. Not to shame you, but to show you.
When something falls apart, we often ask, “Why is this happening to me?” A more powerful question might be, “What is this revealing about me?”
Revealing your attachments.
Revealing your fears.
Revealing where you are abandoning yourself.
Revealing where you are ready for more.
Growth rarely arrives as comfort. It arrives as disruption. A relationship ends. A plan collapses. A version of you dissolves. It feels personal, but often it is structural. The foundation was not stable enough to hold where you are meant to go.
The Universe does not remove what is aligned.
It removes what you have outgrown.
This does not mean everything painful is destiny. It does not mean suffering is romantic. It means there are patterns larger than preference at play. Cycles of expansion and contraction. Creation and collapse. Light and shadow.
You are not separate from that movement. You are part of it.
The same force that spins galaxies also moves through your life in subtler ways. Endings are not punishments. They are transitions. Delays are not denials. They are recalibrations.
The Universe does not owe you ease.
It invites you into alignment.
And when you stop asking for things to stay the same, and start asking to become who you are meant to be, you realize something quietly powerful.
Nothing was against you.
It was all shaping you.
