🐴 Meet the Herd 🐴

Ginger
The only horse from original rescue group, Ginger arrived in 2013. She is a registered Quarter Horse (Flower Scotch), born in 1998. Once believed to be used as a recipient mare, Ginger now enjoys a quiet, pampered life with her herd. 💛

Sweet Pea
A pony born around 2013 with little known history. When her owner couldn’t keep two horses and faced the risk of auction, Sweet Pea found safety here—made possible by a generous volunteer sponsor. 🩷

Mooney (Moonlite Sea)
Born in 2013, Mooney is a retired Thoroughbred racehorse who earned over $80K racing in Florida, New York, and Monmouth Park. After an injury and two years of rest, she won her final race before retiring with us. 🤍

Nicholas (Nick)
Nick came to us through our hay supplier after a successful jumping career. A Quarter Horse/Thoroughbred/Warmblood mix, a paddock injury ended his competition days—but led him to a loving retirement here. 🤎

We’re excited to partner with Monmouth University to offer a unique continuing education experience at Liberty Haven Farm in Howell, NJ.

This 3-hour experiential workshop is designed for clinicians who want to deepen their understanding of equine-assisted psychotherapy through live demonstrations, clinical discussion, and real-world case applications.

🐴 Explore how horses:
• Reinforce embodied boundaries
• Respond to nervous system regulation
• Mirror incongruence
• Support trauma processing
• Facilitate somatic confidence
