Earlobe repair procedure is performed to repair torn, split, or stretched earlobe piercings. These issues often result from accidents, injury, or wearing heavy earrings for a prolonged period of time. The procedure is conducted in-office under local anesthesia to correct, reshape, or rejuvenate the ear’s lowest portion. The physician makes an incision just above the torn or stretched area of the lobe, trims off excess tissue, and reshapes the area. Very fine stitches are then used to close the incision in layers, completing the procedure.
