Missouri Telehealth Network The project uses videoconferencing to connect interdisciplinary teams of experts with primary care providers and other professionals throughout Missouri.

The Missouri Telehealth Network (MTN) increases access to patient-centered health care via telehealth by providing technical assistance, partnering with key stakeholders, operating telehealth programs, and supporting and developing telehealth policies. They collaborate in interactive case-based learning to develop advanced skills and best practices, which improves patient care access, quality and efficiency.

We would like to welcome Ying Liu, MD, MA, to Missouri Telehealth Network!

Ying will oversee and coordinate all research activities related to the Center for Telehealth Research and Policy (C-TRaP). She will also support reporting efforts, contribute to newsletters, assist with compliance and more.

Before this role, she worked for over 20 years in the Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology Department for Mizzou and was in family medicine after that.

Personally, and professionally, she is proud of becoming a doctor and then successfully transitioning her career into clinical research. She is inspired by freedom and the ability to pursue a meaningful life. While she is still exploring hobbies and cultivating new interests, her lifelong dreams have shaped who she is today.

Chronic kidney disease is prevalent in Missouri and affects many individuals, but can remain undiagnosed or underdiagnosed due to knowledge gaps.

The Kidney Disease ECHO is working to fill that gap by increasing an understanding of early screening and disease management.

This ECHO is held every first and third Thursday from 12-1PM CT, provided at no cost and offers free continuing education credits to qualifying participants.
