So many things in life require delayed gratification. For example: Learning how to love and communicate in relationships, Wisdom in finances, Working through trauma, Rewriting negative thinking patterns, Grieving, etc.
Sometimes it’s nice to get a “win” and have healthy instant gratification. Looking for small wins in big tasks can help with motivation and hopefulness. Sometimes I want to feel that “success” quickly, and thing that works for me to feel accomplished (immediate gratification / requires little effort / clear, quick results) is painting, what works for you?
