Many thanks to Dunn’s Chapel’s women’s group – “Women at the Well” – for inviting Sabrina Benton, Taylor’s Boutique Coordinator, to their Valentine’s Day Tea!

Sabrina had a wonderful time sharing about the heart behind Daybreak’s programs and services. She especially enjoyed highlighting the Baby Bucks Program — a virtual, self-paced educational opportunity that allows new moms and dads to earn “baby bucks” to redeem for essential items in Taylor’s Boutique.

The generosity and support of the ladies of the "Women at the Well" group is a tremendous blessing! Because of their kindness, Daybreak is able to restock shelves and racks with much-needed baby items for the families served each day.

Their gifts provide more than practical resources — they bring encouragement, dignity and hope to moms and dads during some of life’s most important seasons. Daybreak is truly grateful for their partnership in loving and supporting families in our community.

This sweet momma and her daughter redeemed Mom’s and Dad’s “Baby Bucks” last week and received a car seat, changing table, Boppy pillow, baby bathtub, bottle warmer, blankets, and many other items for their baby who will be arriving in the spring.

Daybreak’s “Baby Bucks: Earn While You Learn” prenatal/postnatal video education program gives new moms and dads the opportunity to earn “Baby Bucks” to redeem in Taylor’s Boutique. The on-site boutique is fully stocked and beautifully merchandised with baby items such as new baby clothing from 0-12 months, new car seats, strollers, Pack n’ Play cribs, quilts/blankets, diapers, wipes and many other baby supplies.

Healthy boundaries are like fences with gates; they let the good in and keep the bad out. But what happens if our fences are down? The result is often chaos and exhaustion or even worse, manipulation and abuse.

In Daybreak's "Boundaries" class, we will look together at healthy boundaries in relationships - with family members and partners, children and friends. We will look at how boundaries are developed and how boundary problems begin.

This class addresses questions such as:
"Why do I feel guilty or afraid when I consider setting boundaries?"
"What if someone is angry or rejects me because of a boundary?"
"How do I teach my children healthy boundaries?"

These are just a few of the issues we will unpack together on Tuesdays from 12:30pm-1:30pm, beginning Tuesday, January 13 at Daybreak. No cost for classes. Lunch is served at each class. No childcare is provided.

Thanks to all of those who participated in “Daybreak’s 3rd Annual Diaper Bowl”! The Gamecocks were victorious again this year, with $593, giving them a three-peat! The Tigers were a “whisker” away from winning, but in the end came up “short-pawed” with $561.The biggest winners, though, are our clients who will receive EveryLife diapers for their babies each month.

Being pro life means helping to meet the ongoing needs of moms and dads in our community. Supplying them with much-needed supplies, like diapers, is a great way for us to do this! Thanks again!

The football game has ended with the Tigers winning, but “Daybreak’s 3rd Annual Diaper Bowl” continues for a few more hours, ending at midnight Sunday, November 30.

Both the Tigers and the Gamecocks have added points to the Diaper Bowl scoreboard this past week, with the Tigers regaining their lead by 42 points.

The Gamecocks still have a chance to avenge the loss on the gridiron and the Tigers still have time to extend their lead. The Daybreak Diaper Bowl fans will make the final decision.

Today, November 20, ends the third quarter of “Daybreak’s 3rd Annual Diaper Bowl: Dollars for Diapers”! The Tigers still have $331 and appear to be taking a “cat nap” as they did not add any dollars to last week’s score. But the Gamecocks kicked up their spurs, keeping up their momentum from last week, and added $100 to their score, gaining the lead with $343.

Will the Gamecocks continue their winning strategy or will the Tigers “wake up” and get back in the game? Only you, the fans, will decide who comes out on top when the game ends at midnight November 30.
