Last month, we had the most magical time flowing and grooving at the 2025 Annapolis Baygrass Music Festival! Thank you to everyone who joined YogaRoots Movement for an unforgettable weekend of yoga, music, and connect by the bay. We couldn’t have asked for a better vibe or community!

Say hello to 𝗔𝗸𝗶𝗹 𝗧𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲 — founder of 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗱𝗲 and a 200-hour Certified Yoga Instructor with nearly a decade of experience teaching yoga and mindfulness across schools, communities, and correctional facilities.

His laid-back, approachable style makes yoga accessible for everyone — from kids and busy parents to professionals and those finding balance behind bars. Through his 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗲 𝗬𝗼𝗴𝗮 program, Akil partners with community initiatives to support student growth and well-being. In Howard County, he offers kids yoga classes through the Bridges Program — a grant-funded after-school initiative that serves students from Title I schools. He also created the 𝗧𝗮𝗽-𝗜𝗻 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 program, which brings yoga, breathwork, and meditation into DC correctional facilities as part of broader prison reform efforts.
