With the tragic story of the Ross Baby, it shows how important it is to have a Doula at your side. Having a Doula be apart of the Birth Team, should be a standard practice, a right for all birthing people. It should not be a luxury.

This is nothing more rewarding than seeing your baby milk drunk.

Milk drunk is that super relaxed baby that just finished a feeding session. Eyes closed, maybe a slight smile, with a drop of milk left on the lip or the corner of their mouth. That rewarding sight.

My beautiful friend can attest that Breastfeeding is no easy task. Nonetheless this has been a beautiful journey for her and Elijah.

And look at the many positions you can have with a teething toddler. 🤣 All those twists and turns and not a drop missed.

I remember the morning of July 10, 2019. I woke up and had some bloody show, so I knew it was going to be a great day. I had a talk with Baby and said "Do not come after COB".

I spent the day bouncing around on my birthing ball, in hopes of expediting the process. By the time 6pm (COB) came I said, well I guess he is not coming today. Around 8pm I was settling into bed and getting my older son comfortable as I was co-sleeping still.

But I was restless, tired but not able to get comfortable. After kicking my nearly two year old son out of my bed, I had a sharp pain and immediately hopped out of bed.

And a big gush of water came rushing out. My water had broken after hours, 8:45pm to be exact. Can you believe it? I looked at my then husband and he knew it was go time.

Since my labor was less than seven hours with my first, my midwife instructed me to go to the birthing center as soon as my water broke.

But first EYEBROWS!!! I had to make sure my eyebrows were looking good because I hired a photographer.

A since I did, there is a video for the rest of the experience.

Breastfeeding week is August 1-7th!!!

Facts about me; I've breastfed both of my boys. Marcelo for 9months and Mauricio for 13. It was a long and sometimes painful process but I enjoyed everybit of it!
