We are proud to celebrate the remarkable contributions of our faculty and team members at the 2025 American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) Annual Meeting — a testament to their national expertise, leadership, and innovation in hand, microvascular, and peripheral nerve surgery.
👏 Dr. Sebastien Lalonde served as an educator for the Hands-On Tissue Transfer Course, helping advance surgical education and technique refinement.
💡 Bryce Rizvanovic, PhD candidate, presented his thought-provoking research, “Measuring What Matters: Patient Perspectives on Success and Recovery After Peripheral Nerve Injury,” sparking meaningful dialogue on patient-centered outcomes.
🔬 Dr. Julia Nuelle shared her expertise in managing complex ballistic nerve injuries, drawing from her unique experience as both a former active-duty and civilian hand and peripheral nerve surgeon. Additionally, Dr. Nuelle and her team’s groundbreaking work on peripheral nerve regeneration earned a Top 10 Research Presentation recognition, presented on the ASSH main stage.
🎤 Dr. Daniel London demonstrated extraordinary leadership — moderating the Adrian E. Flatt Residents and Fellows Conference Research Symposium, teaching courses on developing a research program and qualitative research and delivering insightful talks on Learning Theory, Technology, and the Modern Hand Surgery Learner and Current Concepts on Medications in Hand Surgery, and serving on an Expert Panel on Thumb Arthritis Treatments in the Young Patient.
🏆 Further, his outstanding contributions to clinical research and innovation were recognized with the 2025 J. Leonard Goldner Pioneer Clinical Research Award.
