The City of Columbia is accepting public comment on three beautiful mural proposals for the Columbia Regional Airport as part of their Public Art program. All of these are by really talented and visionary regional artists.

The Missouri River figures in two of these. One of the murals, by Callaway County artist Jane Mudd, even includes some Missouri River Relief volunteers and MR340 paddlers (tough to see in this low-res image, but will be awesome in full size)!
