Last week, Dr. Boylan had the privilege of speaking to USC 4th year medical students at Foodshare! Cairns introduced the idea of Direct Primary Care and Dr. Boylan covered how the topic of nutrition is discussed with her patients. 😊💬

Foodshare is a program in Columbia that aims to "increase access to, knowledge of and consumption of vegetables and fruit" throughout the community. They serve over 32 counties in South Carolina, bringing fresh fruits and vegetables every 2 weeks at a big discount. Visit https://foodsharesc.org/ to learn more! 🍅🍊

Items that are in most need include bags/boxes of rice, pasta or dried beans, mac and cheese, peanut butter, cereal, canned fruits, vegetables and beans, ramen noodles, boxed single serving breakfast, canned chicken or tuna, and single serve canned meals (like Chef Boyardee or beef stew). 📦 🤝

October marks the start of Noreta's Fall Feed the Need Food Drive! 🍂

Through the month of October, non-perishable foods and online donations will be collected to benefit Harvest Hope! 🤝 This organization includes emergency food pantries and mobile food pantries. They also work with partner agency, child feeding and senior feeding programs. 👫 Help us meet our goal of $1,000 in donations and 1 boxful of food items! 📦
