Stress isn’t just a feeling, it has real, measurable effects on the body.
Your Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) controls many of the functions you don’t think about: heart rate, blood pressure, breathing, digestion, and more. When stress levels rise, the ANS shifts into “fight or flight” mode, activating the sympathetic nervous system and putting strain on multiple systems in the body.
Over time, chronic stress can contribute to symptoms like:
• Fatigue
• Brain fog
• Poor sleep
• Dizziness or lightheadedness
• Heart palpitations
• Blood pressure changes
The good news is that ANS testing allows clinicians to objectively measure how the body is responding to stress. By evaluating autonomic function, providers can better understand what’s happening beneath the surface and guide more personalized care.
Stress may be invisible, but its impact on the body doesn’t have to be!
