So many women were taught to normalize pain.

Pain during s*x.
Pain every cycle.
Pain that interrupts daily life.

Common doesn’t automatically mean healthy.
And needing support doesn’t mean something is wrong with you.

Body literacy invites curiosity instead of dismissal.

Save this for the moment you start minimizing your own experience 🤍

Many of the ideas we hold about what bodies “should” look like didn’t come from education… they came from media.

When unrealistic images are repeated often enough,
they start to feel like the standard.

But bodies are not supposed to look one way.
And yours is not failing because it doesn’t.

This is your reminder that representation ≠ reality 🤍

So grateful to share that our work on the Spencer Foundation Grant continues to grow ✨

Two weeks ago, I had the opportunity to present at UNC Greensboro, sharing our ongoing research and curriculum development focused on culturally responsive diagnostic decision-making and clinical reasoning in counselor education. 📚

Honored to contribute to conversations that push our field toward more thoughtful, ethical, and inclusive diagnostic practices.

This is a side of my life I don’t share often, however, absolutely love and want to share more of! 💻 where are my counselor educators out there!?

There is no single way a v***a is supposed to look.
Bodies vary and this part is no exception.

Many women carry quiet shame simply because no one ever taught them this. That’s not your fault for how your anatomy looks and that bodies come in all shapes and sizes!

This is body literacy.
And it starts with normalizing what diversity actually looks like.

Save this for reassurance or share it with someone who never heard this growing up 🤍
