Safety improvements are readily under way for a portion of US 25 in Greenville County. Identified by SCDOT’s Rural Road Safety Program as a route in need of improvements, crews have been working for nearly two years on safety upgrades. By adding enhancements like a median barrier wall and upgraded guardrails, the route will help reduce the severity and occurrence of crashes due to lane departures.

SCDOT is completing safety upgrades at the junction of SC 28 and SC 185 in Anderson County. The intersection has been reconfigured into a T-intersection, replacing the previous yield sign on SC 185 with a mandatory stop. This change is expected to improve traffic flow and enhance safety by reducing potential hazards.
