The ladies at New Hope Lutheran Church in Irmo surprised us by hosting a church wide baby shower during the weeks before Advent, and then they gathered for an Advent celebration at the church before delivering all these wonderful items for our moms and babies! Our volunteers and staff decided they really wanted to give back to community members in need this holiday season, since we are continually blessed by this community with donations for our clients. We settled on participating in Families Helping Families and were assigned a young family, very much like some of the ones we serve all year long.

We got to buy gifts for a teenage mom and dad, and for their toddler son. We purchased clothes, shoes, toys, toiletries, some new bedding and added a gift card for just a little extra help food. There are so many families in need right now, and we feel very fortunate to be able to bless others in this way! This is what Christmas is truly about. ❤️🎄❤️
