⭐ The Bridge at Columbia's February 2026 Going the Extra Mile Winner is LaShanda Sales, one of our Resident Assistants! 🙌 LaShanda, who was nominated by Christy Thrasher, stepped up in a big way by taking charge of leading the podiatry day visit for our residents when our RCD was unable to be present. She worked closely with the podiatrist to get everything set up and ensured that residents who needed to be seen were gathered and ready throughout the day.

What makes this even more impressive is that she accomplished all of this while continuing to fulfill her Resident Assistant responsibilities. 👏 LaShanda is a wonderful Resident Assistant who consistently provides excellent care for our residents. Thank you, LaShanda, for taking initiative and stepping up to support the team. Your dedication and willingness to help do not go unnoticed! ❤️

Our residents had a wonderful time getting out and exploring during our recent visit to Columbia State Community College! 🎨 We enjoyed touring the beautiful Dr. Pryor Art Gallery and taking in the inspiring artwork on display. It was a fantastic opportunity to experience local culture, spark creativity, and share meaningful conversations together.

Love was truly in the air at The Bridge at Columbia Assisted Living this Valentine’s Day! ❤️ Thank you to all of our wonderful residents, families, and friends who joined us to celebrate the holiday with a delicious Valentine’s Day Brunch. 🧇

From sweet treats to warm smiles and heartfelt conversations, it was a beautiful day filled with love and community. We also loved welcoming guests who took time to tour our beautiful campus and learn more about the lifestyle and care we’re so proud to offer. 🏡

There’s nothing better than sharing our home and the warmth that makes our community so special! We are so grateful to celebrate these meaningful moments together. 💕

Our staff and residents proudly wore red in honor of National Wear Red Day as part of Heart Health Month. It was a wonderful way to raise awareness about heart disease prevention and celebrate the importance of caring for our hearts — and each other. 🫀 rom bright smiles to bold red outfits, our community showed up in style to support heart health. We love coming together for meaningful causes that keep our residents thriving and our team inspired!

⭐ January 2026 Going the Extra Mile Winner: Amy Trawick! ⭐

❄️ During the recent ice storm, Amy, one of our Dietary Servers, demonstrated exceptional dedication and commitment to our residents. From Friday through Wednesday, Amy remained on-site at The Bridge at Columbia, working every dietary shift needed to ensure uninterrupted service to our residents. In addition, she volunteered to work a double shift as a personal care aide, and assisted in relocating a resident from one apartment to another.

Throughout these challenging circumstances, Amy maintained a positive attitude and consistently displayed professionalism and compassion. Her willingness to step in when needed exemplifies our commitment to resident care and teamwork. In recognition of her outstanding efforts, Amy received The Bridge at Columbia’s January 2026 Going the Extra Mile Award. Amy has been a valued team member since 2022, contributing across multiple departments, and this recognition reflects her continued dedication and excellence. 🏆
