Today was a 67 kind of day for the Girl Scouts of South Carolina Mountains to Midlands!

The team had an amazing time connecting with the troops, leading a session on coping skills and mindfulness. The girls dove right in—decorating personal journals and creating their own mental health shields to take home and use whenever they need a boost.

They’re already looking ahead, and in 2026 they’d love to come back and help guide even deeper, empowering conversations about mental health. These young leaders showed so much creativity, courage, and heart—and the energy was pure 67 all the way. 💚✨

That's why NAMI Mid-Carolina provides free support groups where people can say "I'm not okay" without judgment. Where they learn they're not alone. Where recovery becomes possible.

NAMI Mid-Carolina in Action!

This week, our Executive Director had the honor of presenting at the 2025 Statewide Mid-Fall Training Conference in Myrtle Beach, SC—an incredible gathering focused on navigating change with unity, purpose, and impact.

During the Supporting Employee Self-Care session and the Mental Health Forum, we joined community leaders, mental health advocates, and service providers from across the state to elevate the conversation around resilience, wellness, and the importance of prioritizing mental health in times of change.

Key Highlights:
✔️ Sharing practical strategies to foster employee wellness
✔️ Supporting professionals in preventing burnout
✔️ Strengthening community-wide mental health initiatives
✔️ Empowering organizations to thrive—personally and professionally

Events like this remind us why we do the work we do: because mental health matters in every space, for every person.

💚 Thank you to South Carolina Community Action Partnership and the South Carolina State Head Start Association for hosting such a powerful and purpose-driven conference.

📣 If you’re passionate about mental health and community wellness, stay connected with us—your voice and your actions help move this mission forward.

🧹 When the family’s doing the “mom’s on her way home” cleaning sprint — remember, a tidy house is great, but a calm mind matters most. 💚 Take a breath together.
