Turns out, life has a lot of moving parts. 😅

That’s why at NAMI Mid-Carolina, we’re here to make sure you don’t have to navigate them alone. 💚

Free support. Real conversations. A community that gets it.

We had such a sweet time with the Girl Scouts yesterday! 💕

Our Valentine’s-themed workshop focused on loving yourself and being proud of who you are. Each girl decorated a special greeting card to herself and participated in an interactive self-love session centered on strengths, confidence, and positive self-talk. Watching them celebrate what makes them unique was truly heartwarming!

If your troop, school, or organization would like us to host a self-love or mental wellness workshop, we’d love to connect. Reach out to NAMI Mid-Carolina to learn more about bringing a workshop to your group!

Statement from Daniel H. Gillison, Jr., CEO, National Alliance on Mental Illness

“Words matter. How racism is discussed, understood, or dismissed in public life has real consequences for individuals, families, and communities.

To be clear, racism is a direct threat to mental health, and NAMI strongly denounces racism in all its forms.

We applaud and stand with the American Psychological Association and the American Psychiatric Association for continuing to underscore the mental health consequences of racism, bias, and discrimination, and for reinforcing the importance of addressing these harms as part of our broader mental health efforts.”

Mental health advocacy must include dignity, respect, and racial equity.

Racist commentary and depictions of any kind go against everything this work stands for. We’re choosing to set boundaries, speak up, and protect our community—especially those most often harmed.

February = Team Building Month!

Together, we walk. Together, we win.

Did you know that a donation of just $25 can provide essential crisis resources to someone in need? And $100 can sponsor a family in one of our life-changing educational programs like Family-to-Family or NAMI Basics.

Every dollar you give stays local- funding peer-led support, mental health education, and advocacy right here in the Midlands. When you support NAMI Mid-Carolina, you're investing in a community where recovery is possible and no one walks alone.
