This month of giving, give the gift of massage and bodywork to someone in need!

We all know or have that person in our life who is slow to accept help or a hand out or doesn’t want to feel like a burden, well now they don’t have to

Nov 1st - Nov 30th we will be matching each dollar amount spent on gift cards with our Community Impact Fund to go to people who need our services but can’t afford them

• Gift cards must be purchased for someone else in need
• Cannot be purchased online
• While funds last

You can purchase these giftcards after an appointment with us or during our store hours:

Tuesdays 11-3
Thursdays 11-5 (except for Thanksgiving)
Fridays 11-6

Thank you for helping us spread the gift of massage and bodywork to those who need it in our community 🫶

What do I bring in my in-home kits?

Castor oil (with jojoba oil) - used for abdominal massage for mama, as the first step of “mother roasting” to help in abdominal healing and uterine contraction

Heating pad - used for the second part of mother roasting after the abdominal massage or by itself to help with any residual pain or discomfort from labor

Halo hair oil & gua sha tool - the hair oil and tool are used during the scalp massage for mama to relax and also aid with hair growth in the postpartum period

Gloves & hand sanitizer - for intraoral work for baby

Clorox wipes - to wipe everything down before the next visit

Demo baby “Steve” - to show mama and/or dad how to massage baby at home and help support the release of their tension

NEW red light - for mamas and babies for labor/delivery recovery, improved digestion, blood flow, and immune boost

See you in your home ✨

Moments that have felt like Hozier’s yell:

I love following up with my infant and pediatric clients and celebrating your big wins!

With bodywork (and help with breastfeeding and chiropractics!) these kids have been able to
-> sleep better
-> eat more
-> be more regulated in school
-> have regular bowel movements
-> deepen their latch
-> RELAX their nervous systems and bodies!

Honestly this is why we do it, to help our clients who are searching for something that works get results

So every time you send your wins, just know it feels like Hozier’s yell 🫶

See you on the table ✨

(Also please excuse my terrible dancing 💃 😂)

Unfortunately as massage therapists we do love

• long silences - they are not awkward and if you fall asleep, even better because your body needed it!
• TMI - we want to hear it all, how your poops are, if your pelvis hurts, etc. more information helps us get to the bottom of your pain
• Alllllllllll the emotions - cry, laugh, express disappointment, frustration, anger, joy, we are here for it all! Releasing your emotions in a safe environment helps released their stored energy from your body
• Being “fired” because you feel better - this is our goal! We want you to feel your best and no longer feel like you need to see us frequently or at all
• Finding solutions - we want to find what’s right for you and your body because it’s your lived experience and no one else’s
• Working with your body and nervous system - we need to be working at harmony with both to actually find solutions!
• Supporting the WHOLE you - true treatment considers the whole and not just a part
• Supporting the WHOLE family - your family also makes up you and we want to help you heal as a person and as a family
• Being part of your community - we are here for the community building relationships, not just a transaction

Let us know what’s your favorite that we unfortunately love ✨

Re-introducing Lydia! Our newest edition to the Avodah team 🫶

Lydia is a licensed massage therapist (SC 13471) certified in prenatal and postpartum massage with a BS in Athletic training from Winthrop University where she developed a deep understanding of musculoskeletal function, injury prevention, and rehabilitation.

After completing her undergraduate degree, she pursued her massage therapy training for licensure at Midlands Technical College-Harbison campus, where she gained hands-on experience in a range of therapeutic techniques. She has had the opportunity to work in a chiropractic care clinic, where she collaborated closely with the Chiropractic Doctor to support patients dealing with chronic and acute pain, injury recovery, and postural imbalances.

This experience deepened her ability to assess individual needs and provide targeted, results-driven massage therapy. She specializes in modalities such as deep tissue, Swedish, trigger point therapy, and sports massage, and she tailors each session to help clients achieve their personal health and wellness goals.

Beyond technique, she approaches her work with a heart for service. Her passion lies in creating a safe, restorative, and intentional space where clients can feel heard, supported, and truly cared for. Her goal is not only to relieve physical tension but to leave a lasting, positive impact on each person she has the privilege to work with. Whether you’re seeking relief from pain, managing stress, or simply looking to reconnect with your body, she’s committed to creating a safe, healing space where you can feel supported and cared for.

See you on the table ✨
