Again, we ask, “Can women really have it all?”

As an ambitious woman who also desires a motherhood experience that feels peaceful and present, I’ve learned that my desires were in conflict with each other. Striving for professional success while also trying not to miss a moment in motherhood left me feeling stressed and spread too thin. I was expected to show up at work like I wasn’t a mom, and I was expected to be present in motherhood like I don’t work. It was impossible.

I think we should better prepare young women for what it really means to work and nurture. We also need infrastructure and resources that make it easier, but that’s another convo for another day.

So, can we have it all? Maybe. But I’m not sure if we can have it all at the same time. I explored this concept on my new Substack The Moné Edit. Check it out! Comment LINK if you want me to send it to you. (It’s also in my bio).

For my ambitious mamas, please share how you’ve been surprised by your motherhood experience and how it has or hasn’t changed the way you work.

I love as much as the next girl and of course, there’s no replacement for a quality nail tech, but I was finding myself spending so much time and money on my nails. I couldn’t keep up!

So this holiday season, I’ve been wearing x nails for every occasion. So many styles to choose from and the shape and fit of the nails are so smart! Plus, you’re not stuck with until you can make your next appointment.

Happy holidays to all my nail lovers!

Things are different now.

I decided to time lapse my 30 minute workout this morning, but I only made it to 23 minutes before Langston had enough. 😅

I was recording for my own memories—I wanted to see how many times I had to stop and tend to him—but then I thought it was worth sharing so other new moms know they’re not alone.

I’m finding my groove and I’ve been applauded for “snapping back” (a term I no longer like), but my body is definitely not “back to normal” yet. Even though I feel like I have a long way to go, I’m also proud of what this body has done!

41 weeks of pregnancy, an unmedicated home birth, and 18 weeks (and counting) of exclusively breastfeeding. We’re doing alright! Things may be different but that’s ok. Tell a new mom she’s got this 💪🏾

Going through my 2022 drafts and I had to post this trend 6 months later 😂

It’s also extra funny now bc my current status is so far from fitting into this outfit 🤰🏽😩 I’ll return to somebody’s dance floor some day lol.

It’s a little bit of what you wear, but mostly how you wear it. And if it doesn’t make you feel confident, forget about it!

Wear what you love and always love what you wear.
