Earlier this week, our LWC staff had the opportunity to attend a resource fair with Columbia Public Schools to help students and families learn more about Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) employment providers — including our Individual Placement and Support (IPS) program.

Events like these are a great way to connect with the community, share resources, and support students as they explore employment opportunities and plan for their futures. If you are interested in learning more about gaining skills for work, contact Kaitlynn on our LWC team, at 573-874-1995.

Disability Rights Legislative Day is less than 2 weeks away, February 25, 2026!

There will be a rally and opportunities to speak with your legislator about what matters most to YOU. Join advocates from across the state for an exciting day of advocacy and relationship building. You deserve a place at the table.

Not able to attend the Rally in person?
That’s OK! Thanks to support from the Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council (MODDC), this event will also be virtual. You still have the option of setting up a time to visit your legislator in their office at a time convenient to you or setting up a time to meet with them when they're back in their home districts.

Whether attending virtually or in person, register here: https://drld.org/events/drld/
