Another bright sunny day in August. A good reminder that the warmth of friends/family and the beauty in the world make us feel good but true joy comes from within ourselves. We are only truly happy when we can accept ourselves, mistakes and strengths, as we are. We each are wholly made and created with value that no outside source can take away without our permission. Today I will live in the internal joy of self and spread my happiness outward to others.

This is in my new office in a house that was built in 1864 with the original floors still intact. Trees form a metaphor for life with deep roots, good soil, strong trunks and branches and leaves that include life's journeys and fruits.
