Chilly weather calls for chili! 🌶️
And what better way to enjoy some chili than with a good ol' time? Harmony Hall's Chef Donte Parker went head-to-head with Lorien Columbia's Dining Director, Tim Viola in a friendly chili competition!

The clash of the century was narrowly won by Harmony Hall's Chef Parker, by only 9 votes! But I think everyone's a winner when it comes to an afternoon of chili tasting!

Our wonderful residents had their nails done by our extraordinary Activities Team, making them sparkle, shine, and look amazing! Sometimes it’s the little things that go a long way. Taking some time to relax and enjoy a fresh manicure is such a lovely way to spend an afternoon! 💅💖

And man did we celebrate the Harmony Hall way! In case you missed it, take a look at our video recapping the event! Harkening back to the golden 40s, our celebration included a Jazzy big band performance Jeff Reed and his talented band mates, fancy golden age non-alcoholic cocktails prepared by Sobar and swing dancing! 🍾💃

Thank you to all the Korean community leaders for visiting the beautiful Harmony Hall, and Harmony Park! 🇰🇷 ❤️

Howard County is home to over 10,000 Korean Americans and is growing. This population is so rich in culture and tradition that Harmony Hall is proud to care for them!

Through our Golden Living assisted living community, Korean Americans receive exceptional care while being in a familiar environment tailored for Korean culture.

Every year, Gilchrist Center Howard County puts together a Veterans Day service that is heartwarming and special to our residents here at Harmony Hall.🇺🇸❤️

A member from each branch of the United States military came up to give thanks and recognize the importance of our veterans—brave individuals who put their country before themselves to preserve the freedoms of every American. It was a truly touching ceremony.

This week we got a sneak peek at just how Bev keeps our residents up and moving! 🧘‍♀️✨

Bev comes in every Tuesday and Thursday for morning stretches and exercise. You’ve probably seen her giving some fitness tips on our Facebook too! 📣💪

She’s been a big hit with our residents, and as you can see, her lively, can-do attitude is truly contagious. We love the work she puts in to keep our residents active and moving! ❤️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

November is national !

Last month we opened Harmony Park, Maryland's first ever Purple Flag accredited memory care community, and raised funds for the Alzheimer's Association. We'd like to take a look back and show how we are continuing to make an impact on how Alzheimer's is treated and our innovation in the way we care for people with Alzheimer's .

Veterans Day is all about gratitude and commemoration for the bravery and service of our veterans. It was such a powerful and moving moment when CarePatrol visited Harmony Hall to recognize and celebrate each and every one of our heroes by adorning them commemorative pins, thanking them for their service.

It is truly an honor and a privilege to care for those who have served our country with courage and dedication. From all of us at Harmony Hall — thank you for your service. ❤️🤍💙

We're always happy to hear that our care for your loved one has surpassed expectations! Our nursing team is attentive, caring, and sensitive to the needs of our residents.

Our activities team is phenomenal at keeping our residents engaged and social through fun and interesting activities. Even through something like the card game Bridge, cognitive engagement not only promotes good brain health, but it has also been proven to keep the body active as well!

We went to Maryland Live! to hit the slot machines and enjoy some quality time with our friends. The house doesn't always win when the clever residents of Harmony Hall walk in; we play to win 😤
