For those asking about the 10:00am class on Saturday, 10/11, it is now on the schedule. Our friend, fellow Pilates Instructor and PT, Jen Mullen will be teaching the 10/11 class. She is also subbing this Saturday's class (9/27) as well. There are spots available in both of those classes.

Other openings this week: Thursday at 8:00 (Shelley) and 9:00am (Jamie), Friday at 9:00 (Jamie)

Testing out Pilates in space! One of the reasons this PT/Pilates Instructor loves the reformer is its versatility. You can mimic almost any functional movement on one piece of equipment. Guess some smarty scientists like that feature as well.

Astronauts need to exercise up to 2.5 hours/day to prevent losing muscle mass and fitness levels. The current treadmill, bike and squat/weight machine take up a lot of space. A version of the reformer could replace/compliment the current setup with a smaller footprint.

Pilates fun starts at 3:55 of the 11 minute video. But you don’t want to miss out on solar propulsion and potentially the first amputee astronaut in the rest of the video.
