It’s that time of year again! Each fall, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Central Carolina Chapter joins with national and international colleagues to celebrate National Philanthropy Day, a celebration of exceptional individuals and organizations that have dedicated themselves to philanthropy.

Philanthropy is “the love of humankind,” and National Philanthropy Day brings together thousands of people around the world to put that word into action. This special day highlights the changes and accomplishments - both big and small - that philanthropy makes in our society, and we are honored to celebrate it locally.

For the last two years our event has looked much different as we celebrated virtually in 2020 and last year had a small gathering of the award recipients and those that nominated them. This year, WE ARE BACK – and ready to celebrate with a return to our in-person luncheon. The Central SC AFP Chapter will celebrate National Philanthropy Day on Wednesday, November 16.

This year, we will not only celebrate our 2022 Award Winners, but we will recognize the last two years of NPD winners as well. Please see their names below and come to celebrate all past year winners at our event.

Let's be honest--there's not many fundraising professionals who have not experienced the overwhelming anxiety that comes with major gift solicitation. Thankfully for us, superheroes like The Winkler Group who know all the tips and tricks to ease hesitations around "the big ask" exist. Thanks to Jim Bush for facilitating a PHENOMENAL session, and thanks to all our AFP and aspiring AFP members who attended. Our Major Gifts Program was nothing short of a major success!
