Why it matters:

Viruses change, vaccinations are tailored each season to match the latest strains.

Vaccines are one of the most reliable defenses against severe illness, hospitalizations, and death.

Getting vaccinated protects not only you, but also those around you, especially the marginalized

Who should get vaccinated?

Everyone 6 months and older should get the flu and COVID-19 vaccines.

Pregnant people are encouraged to get both vaccines (at any point in pregnancy).

Children new to flu vaccination may need two doses spaced 4 weeks apart.

CCHA, our envision partners from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and the CHW Hub conducted a two-day Community Health Worker (CHW) and CHW Ally Training in New York last week. Together, participants strengthened their leadership skills, deepened allyship, and co-created a shared vision for the future of the CHW workforce in New York State.
