The Center for Community Health Alignment (CCHA) is building a collective of subject-matter experts to support future Community Health Worker (CHW) training through a brief, virtual review process. We will use the Delphi technique, a structured method that gathers expert feedback through short online surveys, to ensure our curricula reflect current practice, cultural responsiveness, and real-world application.

Our trainings are created by CHWs. This process allows us to incorporate additional expertise from both CHW workforce leaders and content-area specialists. Participation is flexible and conducted on an as-needed, as-available basis. To join our expert panel list, please complete this form: https://loom.ly/E7e00kg

Thank you for helping strengthen the CHW workforce.

Just published in Frontiers in Public Health: Translating community voices to build meaningful engagement: a Community Health Worker led study

In this study, CHWs facilitated conversations with residents across South Carolina to understand barriers and facilitators of authentic community involvement. Themes like trust, power sharing, historical context, and local priorities emerged as central to meaningful engagement. Findings directly informed the new Prioritizing Long-lasting Actionable Community Engagement & Equity (P.L.A.C.E.) Academy, a community-driven curriculum to support authentic engagement and health equity.

This is a must-read for practitioners, researchers, and advocates working at the intersection of community engagement, equity, and public health.
