Williams Funeral Home & Crematory

Williams Funeral Home & Crematory Williams Funeral Home is family operated since 1935. We also help plan ahead for funeral expenses. Pet cremations and pet services are available on request.

We have an on-property crematory serving families that have chosen cremation services or traditional funeral arrangements. Since 1935, Williams Funeral Home & Crematory has provided custom funeral packages designed to celebrate life and serve families. This family-operated business is more than an essential funeral home. All funeral directors are also Certified Celebrants; they work with each family to provide personalized consulting and guidance to ensure that the event is both meaningful and respectful. Funeral packages cover every detail required for a quality event. The caring staff take pride in the family-focused approach used when designing funeral services. Funeral packages can always be customized to include visitations, graveside services, military honors, caskets, and more. Families can choose from traditional funeral offerings, or design a less-formal event such as a life celebration or memorial. Williams Funeral Home & Crematory has owned and operated an on-site crematory for over 20 years. Unlike most other funeral homes that advertise cremation services and subcontract to other providers, the team at Williams Funeral Home & Crematory assures that their own licensed and certified employees will handle all details of the cremation. Direct cremation is available for families who want to simplify the services. Or, cremation can be combined with a memorial service or celebration of life. The original funeral home was established in 1935 on Seventh Street in Columbia. In 2012, a tragic fire destroyed much of the building. But the bomb-shelter style construction in the basement protected precious items, including paperwork and files. The funeral home has been rebuilt, and the team is now proud to offer two locations for convenience. Williams Funeral Home & Crematory provides services for families throughout Maury County, including Columbia, Mt. Pleasant, Spring Hill, Lawrenceburg, and Pulaski. The funeral home holds memberships with several industry organizations, including the International Cemetery, Cremation and Funeral Association (ICCFA), The Southern Cemetery Cremation and Funeral Association (SCCFA), and the Cemetery Association of Tennessee (CAT). Rebecca Elizabeth Clark

Rebecca Elizabeth “Becky” Clark passed away peacefully at her home in Columbia on March 14, 2026.

Becky was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama, and throughout her life she demonstrated a deep commitment to faith, family, and service to others. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Shelby Saint Sutton, and her brother, Mike Sutton, Jr.

She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, James Clark; her daughters, Karen (Jonathan) Gobble and Andrea (Kelsey) Clark; her siblings, Tim Sutton and Anne McCuen; her cherished grandchildren, Isabell Gobble, Oliver Gobble, Eleanor Gobble, and Lilly Ballard; and her great-granddaughter, Miley Woods.

Becky pursued her calling to care for others through a lifelong dedication to the medical field. She began her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse, later becoming a Registered Nurse, and eventually earning her Master of Science degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville to become a Nurse Practitioner. Through each step of her career, she used her knowledge and compassion to serve and comfort those in need.

More than her professional accomplishments, Becky will be remembered for the faith that guided every part of her life. She was intentional about living in alignment with her higher calling, using her God-given gifts to serve, lead, love, and bless others. Becky sought continually to grow spiritually and to build the Kingdom of God in the lives of those around her. She exemplified the qualities of the Proverbs 31 woman—a woman of purpose, strength, and devotion.

Her life verse was John 2:5: “Whatever He (Jesus) says, do it.” Becky lived these words daily, seeking to follow Christ faithfully and encourage others to do the same.

The family would like to express special gratitude to those who supported and walked alongside Becky in faith and friendship: Al Woody; the Titus 2 Women’s group; Kim Vandiver; Sandy Collins; Teresa Gilbreath; Bettie Gobble; Tonya Davis; Tennie McKnight; Sarah Willems; and Linda Norton.

A memorial service will be held at Columbia First Baptist Church on Saturday, March 21, 2026. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM, with the memorial service beginning at 12:00 noon, officiated by Rev. Mike Dawson.

Memorial donations may be made to the Mission Fund at First Baptist Church.

Becky’s life was a testimony of faith, compassion, and obedience to Christ. She leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion that will continue to bless her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Williams Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Becky Clark. Condolences can be given to the family at williamsfh.com

Thomas Kevin Hinson

Thomas Kevin “Bubba” Hinson took his final lap on March 13, 2026, crossing the finish line under the checkered flag after a life lived with a full heart and a heavy foot on the gas. Though his race here has ended, the legacy he leaves behind continues to roar in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Kevin was born in Princeton, Kentucky, and made his home in Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Thomas Hinson and Annie Elizabeth Hinson Russell, and his sister, Mary Ella Hinson McKnight.

He leaves behind many who loved him dearly, including his companion of 20 years, Sandra Hassell; his son's Kaleb Hinson and Kameron Hinson, his children by choice, Ashley Hassell, Christopher Hassell, Clint Osborn, and Zaden Osborn; and his precious fur baby, Sookie. He is also survived by a special “sister by another mister,” Robin (Jeff) Weaver, JoEllen (Jerry) McKnight, along with many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory. He leaves several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews (too many to mention by name but were in his thoughts)

Kevin had a deep love for dirt track racing and spent many hours at the track doing what he loved most—racing hard and living fast. When he wasn’t at the track, you could often find him at the river, a place where he felt truly at peace and enjoyed the water and the quiet moments it offered.

He was also known as a collector of many things—most of which he insisted were far too valuable to ever throw away. Kevin had a deep appreciation for old Western movies, especially those starring his hero, John Wayne. His soundtrack of choice was the timeless rhythm of good old-time rock and roll.

Kevin also cherished the friendships he maintained throughout his life. He was the founder of the men’s breakfast group affectionately known as the “Breakfast Club,” a gathering of lifelong friends from school who met regularly at the Juicy Egg to share stories, laughter, and fellowship. His family would like to extend a special thank you to all the men of the Breakfast Club for their friendship and support. A special thanks to James Graham who came out and sat with him every day until the last day.

Kevin will be remembered for his big heart, his love of adventure, his loyalty to friends and family, and the unmistakable rumble of a life lived on his own terms. Though he has taken his final lap, the memories he created will continue to ride on with those who loved him.

Kevin was baptized during his time at NHC-Maury Regional and gave his life to the Lord. His baptism was witnessed by 27 of his closest friends.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date with Bro. Mike Bryan.
