Rhinophyma sounds like something out of a gothic novel, but it’s a real, progressive skin condition that turns the nose into a bumpy, bulbous landmark. Thanks for a memorable week at Loma de Luz Hospital in Honduras with a great crew of physicians and anesthetist from Old Dominion (EVMS) Otolaryngology Department (Eric Dobratz, William Dougherty, Robert Frederick, Kristina Powell, Allison Goldberg, Carrie Muller). These experiences are rejuvenating and restorative not only for our patients, but for our care-givers as well.

3 YEARS AFTER | Functional + Structural Rhinoplasty

3-year postoperative result following extracorporeal septoplasty to improve form and function. Pre-operatively, the nose was severely twisted, and the septum was blocking the nasal passage.

Post-op: Long-term stability and straightening maintained.
