Come on good friends and customers. This is a real go fund me. Josh is the husband of Kathleen Fuller, that my daughter graduated from high school with and they are in the fight of their lives. Any amount will help. It is a nasty leukemia and all medical care comes with a HIGH price. Please help. I appreciate anything you can contribute. Thanks/Love.

Help Josh Medin and Kathleen Fuller with Medical Bills Intro Around the beginning of March last year, Josh Medin went to the doctor for what appeared to be a sinus infection. Two days later he was hospitalized for what was actually acute leukemia -- and transferred to an out-of-town hospital to...

Long story short. These two sisters visited me at St. James Court Art Show in Louisville, KY this past October. They are Pam C***a and Melissa Donald who lives in Louisville. Many years ago, Melissa did an article on my work which appeared in a local publication in Louisville. When she took it home for her Dad to read, he wondered if I was from the "brick house on the corner in Scipio Center, NY?" the answer is yes. As it turns out now, her Mother, Betsy Donald is the Matron of the Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Scipio. My dues are due and her signature is on my dues letter. The world is so small... So they are sisters and their Mother and I are sisters in this fraternal organization.

I am home safe and sound and exhausted after completing my 21st year at the St. James Court Art Show. I am posting a copy of the sign that went up on my booth on opening morning as well as some pictures.

THIS IS MY LAST YEAR
At St. JAMES COURT ART SHOW.

It is hard to leave my favorite show. I have now passed the 3/4 century mark of my life and 35 of those years I have been a weaver.
My career as a traveling rug merchant artist has come to an end. I still need to work for a living, but can no longer handle the packing, traveling, unloading, building booth, and selling for 2-3 days. Nor can I handle the reverse procedure of packing and traveling.
This marks my 21st year on the Court at St. James Court Art Show. I have been here in the heat, snow and rain. Each year holds many memories-mostly good, some not so good.
My daughter Cara has been with me the most in those years-usually willingly. Others have also helped;-my Mother, now 101 years old, Cara’s friend Tom and my friend Ann.
It is a show like no other. I love the community, I love the artists and customers and all of the volunteers. I am now welcoming my third director Howard Rosenberg. That means that Susan Coleman Layman was my first and Margue Esrock the second.
A word to all artists and members of this community as well as the public: please remember the roots of this show and why there is no school on Friday. It is because so many teachers called in absent for the Friday of this show that the public schools of Louisville cancelled school for that day. Kids love to know that the reason they have a holiday is because of their teachers. Pass the word. Kids need exposure to the arts. For several years, I came one day early to join in teaching weaving at local schools-eg.Chenowith.
It is hard to leave my favorite show and will continue to do a few local shows in my area of Ohio. I will also welcome custom orders and website orders. Remember that “I weave because I cannot stop.”
I say goodbye with a heavy heart but enough memories to last me the rest of my life. I love each and every one of you and thank you for the privilege of attending this show
You can still find me at my website as well as some local shows in 2019.
