Most of us feel a sense of guilt when putting our self first. π£ But without taking care of ourselves, how can we plan to taking care of others?π Self-Care is the things we do to protect, maintain and improve our health and well-being.π
Think about the oxygen mask analogy.... βοΈβ οΈ
In airplanes, you're told that if the oxygen mask drops you
βΌοΈPUT YOUR OWN MASK ON BEFORE HELPING OTHERS AROUND YOUβΌοΈ
Because if you pass out, you're not going to be much use to anyone else. In fact, you'll be a more of a nuisance. If you really want to be there for others, take care of yourself first.
