A Celebration of Life for Mr. John L. Gaines, Jr., will be held Wednesday, Nov. 5, at 1pm in the Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel, 2919 Hamilton Road, Columbus, GA 31904. Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Mr. Frank Smith, Sr., Saturday, Nov. 1, at 2pm at Mountain Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 9980 GA-219, Hamilton, GA.

Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, 1472 GA Highway 219, Hamilton, GA.

Visitation is Friday, Oct. 31, 4-6pm, in the Hill-Watson Memorial Chapel, 2919 Hamilton Road, Columbus, GA.

Mr. Thaddeus Vaughn Love transitioned on October 19, 2025. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 25, at noon at Greater Beallwood Baptist Church, 4419 Sherwood Avenue, Columbus, GA, with Rev. Adrian Chester, pastor and officiant.

Interment will follow at Green Acres Cemetery.

Mr. Love was born June 25, 1961, in Columbus, GA. He was a self-employed painter. Mr. Love loved music. He loved to rap, joke, and laugh, and he loved his family.

He was preceded in death by his father Melvin Henry Love; and his daughter, Antoinette Mercer.

Mr. Love leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Rudine Mabry-Love; his mother, Era Mae Love; sons, Anthony Mercer (Chanda), Jarius Love (Tora), and Travis Sopson; brothers, Reginald Love, Melvin Love (Carol), Melvin Jones (Birdie), Thurmond and Clyde Streeter; sisters Theda Scott, Jacqueline Church (Cedric), Glenda Luke (Eric), Angela Streeter-Washington, and Sharon Riley (Vincent); grandchildren Jarius and Jaden Love, Eamadi and Trinity Sopson, Brianna Hood, and Erik Williams, Jr.; Uncle John Love; Aunt Alma Wright; sister-in-laws Delatha Lowe (Jackie) and Rebecca Mabry; brother-in-law Howard Mabry (Dorothy); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
