A Homegoing Memorial Service for Mr. Powell will be held at 2pm Saturday, Jan. 3, at Greater Ward Chapel AME Church, 1330 Talbotton Road, Columbus, GA, Pastor Curtis Frazier, officiating, Apostle Raymond Lee Dixon Sr., eulogist.

Jonathan was born in Tifton, GA, to the late Jeanette Powell and Jimmy (Rosa) Powell who resides in Tifton, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Powell; his wife Denise Walker, Annette Pittman, Aaron and Antonio Dixon, Wendell Lee and Jermaine Powell. He leaves to cherish his memories his children, Jonathan Powell, Jr, Alexius and Alicia Powell; siblings, Shanta, Stacey and Justin Powell; aunt June Smith, uncle Raymond Lee Dixon, Sr., Harlis Pittman, Shequetta Powell and son, Metellus Epps and daughter, Shykueria Epps and kids, Bridget (Matthew) Tyner and kids, Renee Marshall and kids, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
