Eating disorders often show up through emotional, behavioral, and physical changes. When detected early and connected to treatment, recovery outcome improves.

Sometimes the signs are subtle. Sometimes they’re not. Knowing what to look for could help you recognize when someone, or even yourself, may need support.

You don’t have to have all the answers, but just knowing the signs is a powerful first step.

Let these be your reminders:
💗 Deep breaths
💗 Loved just as you are

💗 You are worthy
💗 Progress > perfection

We’re Growing at Eating & Behavioral Health Associates!

Eating & Behavioral Health Associates is expanding, and we’re excited to be hiring an independently licensed therapist or psychologist to join our team in Columbus or Cincinnati.

We’re looking for someone who is genuinely passionate about eating disorders and body image work and who values evidence-based care. While we are primarily seeking a full-time clinician, we’re open to part-time for a great fit—and we’re willing to wait until we find the right person.

This role is ideal for a clinician who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and/or adults and appreciates being part of a collaborative, clinician-led practice. If you have a strong foundation in evidence-based or exposure-based therapies, we would love to hear from you.

At EBHA, we prioritize thoughtful care, sustainable caseloads, and a supportive team culture—so clinicians can do meaningful work without burning out.

Learn more about the position and apply using the link below.

If this isn’t you but you know someone who may be a great fit, we’d be grateful if you’d share this post.

Participants will explore how SEED develops and persists, while offering guidance on how providers can deliver compassionate, effective, and sustainable care. This session will highlight the unique clinical, nutritional, medical, and psychological needs of individuals living with longstanding eating disorders.

📅 Tuesday, March 3rd | 5:30–7:30 PM

New Year’s is often tied to the idea of “New Year, New Me”. But for many, that phrase comes with pressure of perfectionism, unrealistic expectations, and the feeling we need to “fix” ourselves to start the year off right.

While resolutions can include career goals, new hobbies, or personal growth, they’re often dominated by goals focused on dieting, weight loss, or changing how we look.

This year, consider a gentler shift to help with your recovery:
✨Make Resolutions Unrelated to Physical
Appearance
✨Ask yourself, “Is this something I value?”
✨Lead with Self-Compassion, Not Self-Criticism

This year, it’s not about becoming someone new - but honoring who you already are.

As we celebrate Hanukkah, let’s reflect on the miraculous journey of eating disorder recovery. Hanukkah teaches us about miracles, and there are seven elements in recovery that can be truly transformative:

Acceptance 🌟: Embracing yourself with compassion and understanding.
Hope 🌟: Believing in a brighter future, despite challenges.
Service 🌟: Supporting others and fostering a sense of community.
Courage 🌟: Finding the strength to face fears and keep moving forward.
Honesty 🌟: Being truthful with yourself and others.
Patience 🌟: Understanding that recovery is a journey, not a destination.
Humility & Willingness 🌟: Embracing change and seeking help along the way.

The holidays can be challenging for those in eating disorder recovery. If you or someone you know needs support during this time, EBHA is here to help.

Meet Gabrielle Glorioso, Psy.D., a postdoctoral fellow at Eating and Behavioral Health Associates. Gabrielle recently joined the EBHA team and brings a strong foundation in clinical psychology and experience supporting emerging adults in both college counseling and private practice settings.

When she’s not working, you can often find Gabrielle at concerts, building miniature homes, or watching a good documentary. She’s also a passionate fan of Sleep Token, having seen them perform nine times (and counting!).

Gabrielle is a big fan of the book “Her Every Fear” by Peter Swanson, and her current TV obsession is “The Girlfriend” on Prime.

Her favorite place to visit is London, where her best friend lives, and she proudly calls Pittsburgh her hometown.

We are excited to welcome Gabrielle and look forward to the contributions she will bring to our practice. Welcome aboard, Gabrielle!
