A Mass of Christian Burial for Brandon Finkral, 45, of Columbus will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at Holy Family Church in Lindsay. Visitation will be held Monday, December 15, 2025, from 4-7 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary, all at the church. Rev. Taylor Loeffler and Deacon Lois Dohmen will officiate. Interment will follow in the Iowa Valley Cemetery, rural Lindsay, NE.

Brandon Mark Finkral, son of Linda Finkral and the late Mark Finkral, was born October 11, 1980, in Norfolk, NE. He passed away at his home December 11, 2025.

Patricia Rountree, age 60 of Columbus, died Monday, December 8, 2025.

Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am Friday, December 12 at St. Isidore Church. Visitation is on Thursday from 5-7 pm with a 7:00 pm Vigil service, all at St. Isidores. Visitation continues Friday morning from 9:30 am until service time at the church. The graveside service will follow a luncheon at the church at the David City Cemetery at 2:00 pm.

Dennis Mills, 79 of Mesa, Arizona, passed away peacefully at his home on December 5, 2025 surrounded by family.

A memorial service will be January 2, 2026, at 10:30 at McKown Funeral Home. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Cemetery in Columbus. Reception will be at First United Methodist Church in Columbus after the burial.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fountain of Sun in Mesa, Arizona at 2:00 p.m. January 10, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.

John Joseph Vyhlidal was born February 11, 1943 to John Francis and Kristina (Navrkal) and passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025 at Countryside Home in Madison.

Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am Friday. December 5 at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Columbus. There will be a Vigil service at 10:00 am Friday before the Mass, also at the Church. There will be Military Honors by The American Legion Hartman Post #84 Honor Guard. Interment is in St. Patrick and Joseph Cemetery, Platte Center.
