Tonight’s Thursday night Peer Lead Meeting was 🔥

Huge shoutout to Eric Mitchell for coming in and sharing his story with our clients. Real, honest, and powerful. You could feel the whole room locked in. That kind of message sticks.

This is what it’s all about at Forward Health. Connection, growth, and showing people that change is possible.

Appreciate everyone who showed up and made it what it was tonight 💙

We ain’t hard to find.

We don’t even need a pretty graphic for this one, just one typed out fact: We have 300 people in outpatient treatment and 95.25% of all illicit substance screens are NEGATIVE. If you want to change your life, we ain’t hard to find.

✨ Employee Spotlight: Emma Pennington, Intake Specialist ✨

We believe in humanizing the process and Emma embodies that in every interaction she has.

Emma knew early on that this field was her calling. After witnessing the stigma and lack of compassion many people face in addiction, she made it her mission to approach everyone with empathy and understanding. Having been exposed to substance use at a young age, she developed a deep sense of compassion that never wavered. As she grew older, seeing people she cared about struggle and sometimes be met with judgment instead of support, only strengthened her purpose. After experiencing devastating losses among friends and family, Emma now channels those experiences into helping a population that is often misunderstood but deeply deserving of care.

Before joining Forward Health, Emma worked in both a daycare and an assisted living facility. These experiences helped shape her passion for working with people, building connections, understanding individuals, and watching them grow. While those roles weren’t her final destination, they played a meaningful part in her journey.

Her favorite Quote -
“Every day it gets a little easier. But you gotta do it every day that’s the hard part.”

What Emma loves most about Forward Health is the sense of family. Being surrounded by a team that genuinely celebrates growth and achievements makes every day meaningful. She finds it a blessing to wake up excited, knowing she’ll spend her day alongside strong, inspiring individuals both staff and clients alike.

We’re proud to have Emma as part of the Forward Health family. 💙

We are beyond excited to announce that on April 29th, Forward Health will host the 1st Ever Alumni Reunion at Huntington Park, home of the Columbus Clippers. Organized by our Alumni Coordinator and fellow Alumni of Forward Health, Charlie Gregory.

Recovery is a lifelong journey, and we believe it's one you shouldn't walk alone.

This event is about more than just a visit. It's about reconnecting with peers who truly understand your story and celebrating the resilience that got you where you are today. Whether you graduated last month or years ago, you are a vital part of our family.
We’re bringing the community back together.

This night is about celebrating how far people have come, reconnecting with familiar faces, and continuing to build something bigger than treatment alone.

There will be alumni recognition, food, fellowship, and real connection with people who understand the journey.

The first 40 to RSVP will get a ticket and food credit on $1 food night.

If you’ve been part of Forward Health, this is your night. Contact Charlie Gregory ASAP to reserve your spot today!

We’re excited to introduce our new Peer Center, a space created for connection, growth, and sober fun.

Clients now have access to gym equipment, games, and a supportive environment where fellowship comes naturally. Recently, we kicked things off with our first Peer Center Huddle, filled with activities, laughter, and genuine connection.

Seeing our clients come together, enjoy themselves, and experience sober fun was truly powerful. Moments like these remind us that recovery is not just about healing, it’s about rebuilding joy, connection, and community.

This is just the beginning of something special, and we’re proud to continue expanding the care and experiences we provide at Forward Health. 💙

Forward Health is now dual accredited by both JCAHO and CARF.

That’s not common. Especially not in Ohio.

These aren’t participation trophies. These are organizations that come in, pull everything apart, and make sure what you say you do is actually what you do. Clinical quality. Safety. Outcomes. Systems. Accountability.

We pursued both because we believe the people we serve deserve more than just “good enough.” They deserve structure, consistency, and a standard of care that holds up under pressure.

Anyone can say they care. Accreditation is proof.

This is a reflection of the team. The work that happens every day inside our walls. And the commitment we’ve made to do this the right way, even when it’s harder.

We’re proud of it. But more importantly, the people we serve can trust it.

Humanize the process.

Happy Doctor’s Day to the one and only Dr. Fojas aka Dr. Fred! 🩺

It’s hard to put into words just how much you mean to so many. Your kindness and compassion never go unnoticed, and the way you genuinely care for each and every patient makes all the difference. You have a gift for not only healing, but for making people feel seen, heard, and comfortable, even during the toughest moments.

And let’s not forget your sense of humor! You have a way of bringing light into any room and making even the most stressful days a little easier.

Thank you for all that you do, day in and day out. The dedication, heart, and positivity you bring to your work truly set you apart. We are so lucky to have you!

🌟 Employee Spotlight: Amanda Richmond – Peer Support 🌟

This is what we mean when we say we humanize the process.

Amanda’s passion for this field comes from a place that’s real. Through her own experience, she had a moment of clarity while working with her clinician that completely shifted her perspective and changed the direction of her life. That moment showed her just how powerful support and guidance can be and now she’s committed to giving that same support to others.

She understands that recovery is more than just stopping substance use, it’s about digging deeper, building healthier coping strategies, and creating real, lasting change. Amanda meets people where they’re at, without judgment, and walks alongside them as they build a foundation for long-term recovery.

And a huge shoutout to Amanda for recently earning her CDCA 👏 This is a big accomplishment and a reflection of the dedication she brings to both her growth and the clients she serves every day.

Something you might not know about her she can draw portraits (even though it’s been a while 😍).

Around Forward Health, Amanda is known for being part of a team that truly works together, bringing collaboration, trust, and accountability into everything she does while still staying true to who she is.

💬 “Practice makes perfect! Anything you want to do well, you have to do every day until it becomes second nature. You are what you do!”

We’re lucky to have you on our team, Amanda. Keep being you 💙

✨ Employee Highlight: Kaylee Stone, Housing Supervisor ✨

At Forward Health, our team is made up of people who don’t just work in recovery—they live the mission. Kaylee Stone is a perfect example of that. 💙

From an early age, Kaylee knew she wanted to be part of this field. Growing up in a town heavily impacted by addiction, where many of her family and friends struggled, some now in recovery and others still fighting, she made a decision to break that cycle. Instead of following the same path, she chose to become part of the solution, helping others find their way back to a healthier life.

That strength carries into everything she does. Kaylee is someone who doesn’t back down from any obstacle placed in front of her. She leads with resilience, authenticity, and a deep understanding of the people we serve.

Her mindset is grounded in a quote she lives by: “Don’t ever look down. Be comfortable with who you are—our flaws are what make us perfect.” – MGK

Moving from a small town to a big city on her own wasn’t easy, but what she found at Forward Health made all the difference. For Kaylee, this isn’t just a workplace, it’s a family. A place where she feels accepted, supported, and empowered to make an impact every single day.

We are incredibly proud to have Kaylee on our team. Her passion, strength, and heart for helping others truly embody what Forward Health stands for. 💙

👏 Thank you, Kaylee, for the difference you make every day!

We just completed our new Peer Center at Forward Health.

It has a full gym. TVs. Xbox. Ping pong. Card tables. Space to hang out, laugh, compete, and just be normal again.

That might not sound groundbreaking. But it is.

Because recovery isn’t just about staying sober. It’s about rebuilding a life that’s actually worth living.

For a lot of people, that means relearning simple things. How to take care of your body. How to enjoy your time. How to be around people without chaos attached to it.

Fitness matters. Structure matters. But so does just plain old fun. We built this because people deserve more than just treatment. They deserve a place where they can start to feel like themselves again.

This is what real recovery looks like. We ain’t hard to find.
