Big idea, statewide impact. 🚙 What started as a local suggestion from the Tri-County Board of Recovery & Mental Health Services (Miami, Shelby, and Darke counties) is now reaching travelers across Ohio. After asking about promoting 988 at newly opened I-75 rest areas, DBH's 988 team helped turn the idea into a statewide effort in partnership with Ohio Department of Transportation and Ohio Department of Development.

Now, videos about the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline are playing on Travel TVs at rest areas throughout Ohio. As visitors enjoy the welcoming spaces — from native plants and dog trails to rocking chairs and Storybook Trails — they’ll also see a reminder that free, confidential support is available 24/7 by call, text, or chat at 988.
