I am asked about lower extremity wound care often on webinars. I did wounds in the hospital. I’m very comfortable with them. As a business owner I saw no reason to chase $. Knowing wounds were an insurance service why would I offer that in a private pay business model? Also many BON’s have struct regulations around wounds & that’s a slippery slope I don’t want in my business model.

Biz owners: If you are only checking emails when your “at your desk” you’re not doing it right. Sorry, I have to say it. If you are a business owner you MUST be checking emails, frequently. This is the bare minimum to running your business.

Picture it 2007 & I was the first tracks on the interstate in a Mitsubishi convertible. 😆 Then I realized there’s other ways to make $ as a nurse. Ways where I control the income, schedule, & lifestyle. Bc I can’t control the weather…and unfortunately neither does Mother Nature. 😉

What I navigated this past wkd. Yes I’m a Nurse, hockey mom but also a major germaphobe due to my my own low immunity. So to navigate the waters of do you go or not, is a heart splitting decision for me bc I do not want to be the reason kids get sick. Nothing irks me more than sick people who refuse to stay home. Thankfully this was just the result of allergy shots. 😩
