After way too many snow days last week, West Central staff and students got their school-and-community groove back on with a trip to Skate Zone 71! With adaptive skating equipment, music to jam to, and cool lights and scenery, we LOVE the accessibility of this field trip.

Franklin County DD is teaming up with Starfire Council to help create more Inclusion Seekers in our community!

Being an Inclusion Seeker isn’t a typical volunteer commitment or program activity. It’s more about mindset—about believing that we all play a role, and can find ways, to make sure people with disabilities and their families feel a true sense of belonging in communities that are welcoming, connected and inclusive.

Please join us for a free series of online gatherings that will give participants practical strategies for becoming Inclusion Seekers in their neighborhoods, workplaces, schools and more. Saying hello is a great way to begin!

Starts February 17 at 11:30 a.m.

Additional sessions February 24, March 3 and March 10

Each lasts 1.5 hours and is conversational

Open to all; register at https://bit.ly/4kc9y8Q

Fun fact about West Central students: They’re foodies! Whether shopping for groceries at Meijer, cooking in the school smart apartment, or savoring the choices at a mall food court, everyone loves the chance to buy or create something tasty. And after a good meal? There’s not much better than a Friday afternoon singalong concert with Chris Noon and friends.
