The opposite of "Flight or Flight" stress response is "Rest and Digest". In our chaotic, busy lives -- we should "exercise" a few tasks to shift us from stress to calm. It could be as simple as: Taking several deep diaphragmatic breaths; rubbing/pulling on your ears until they are warm; challenging your peripheral vision; and well, getting a massage.
All of those tasks help to stimulate the Vagus Nerve. It helps all internal organs and systems work better therefore it helps us heal. So . . .
