Big news for Columbus and Franklin County! Last week, the Funding Review Advisory Committee (FRAC)—a group of leaders from business, philanthropy, healthcare, and law—shared its recommendations for how our region can sustainably fund health and human services.
They proposed $220 million in new ideas that could support nonprofits, arts organizations, and tourism programs across our community. This matters because these services affect everything from early childhood education to mental health care to the cultural experiences we all enjoy.
Here’s something many people don’t know:
✔️ Our nonprofit sector generates over $2 billion every year
✔️ Employs more than 22,000 people
✔️ Serves hundreds of thousands of residents
When we invest in our social safety nets, our whole community is stronger. Our kids thrive, our businesses thrive, and our region grows. We all do better when we support the organizations that support us.
