Fort Hayes Medical Assisting Program Fort Hayes *Medical Assisting Program* is a specialization that is open to seniors who have successfully passed their junior year in our core program.

Included in instruction is the theory and application of basic principles involved in assisting physicians with examinations, treatments and office surgery, sterilize instruments and perform diagnostic tests and simple laboratory procedures: perform emergency first aid, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation; clerical skills, preparation of medical histories, maintain medical records, handles correspondence, telephone messages, fees and collections. The Medical Assisting program (450 hours) provides the student with skills and abilities needed to work as assistants to the physicians in private, medical laboratories, public service and in hospital based outpatient clinics.

We came in for 3 weeks. The students worked on pulses, respiration, and patient histories.

We are still learning via zoom and google classroom thru 12/18.

We hope to return to in person on January!!
