Read this………and then read it again ~

People were asked -
• Would you judge someone going to counseling? AND….almost all said no!

BUT…….when people were asked -
• If you went to counseling would you feel judged? AND…….almost all said yes!

Even when we think we may not have stigma or biases with mental health or talking to a counselor, THERE IS STILL stigma and biases that may be stopping people from seeking help.

Counseling is self care. We need to keep finding ways to help people feel supported and not judged. 💚

✈️ If an airplane that had all seats filled with people crashed and there were no survivors, would people talk? Probably as well as media coverage (news, socials, etc).

✈️ 🤔 If an airplane that had all seats filled with people crashed and there were no survivors, AND this HAPPENED 3 DAYS IN A ROW would people talk? Absolutely along with investigations being done and fear being instilled in people while ANSWERS were being sought out to prevent this from happening again .

🩵💜 DID YOU KNOW….E•V•E•R•Y•D•A•Y……the number of people that DIE BY SU***DE, DAILY, is equal to an airplane with all seats filled with people YET there is NO media coverage, NO investigations, NO answers/solutions/interventions, NO funding to prevent this from happening again…..

🙋‍♀️🙋So how will you……

• keep talking
• keep learning
• keep helping
• keep creating HOPE

Jax and I enjoyed the Out of the Darkness walk with American Foundation for Su***de Prevention - Nebraska Chapter honoring and remembering those we have lost to su***de, raising awareness and bringing hope to others. Check out the awesome teal and purple sunglasses and su***de awareness ribbon
