Wellness Wednesday!
It's been 80 degrees out already this year, you know what that means...GEORGIA SUMMER! We all know what to expect-97 degrees with 100% humidity every day for SEVERAL months. Many of us love this time of year, being able to spend time outdoors, being with family and friends, and lets not forget the most important part, SUMMER BREAK! Everything is right around the corner so we want to remind you of the most important thing throughout summer, hydration! Nearly 75% of Americans are dehydrated, that means water is the most important part, but the least acknowledged part of every day life. A good guide for how much water to drink is half your body weight in ounces. So if you weigh 160 lb, you'd want to drink AT LEAST 80 ounces of water daily, I'm sure that sounds like a lot of water, but there are so many things to help you drink enough. Many people have water bottles that actually show how much water to drink EVERY HOUR. If you're struggling to drink enough water, just remember to start small. A few glasses of water daily is better than nothing. You can always build on it later, just remember to drink a little water, give yourself time to rest, and just enjoy the warmth of a nice sunny day with people you love.
