Today is World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, which is a reminder for us all to think, test, and treat TB.

Think: Are you at risk for TB? Anyone can get TB but there are some factors that make you higher risk.
Test: You may live with inactive TB and not know it. Testing is the only sure way to know. Your healthcare provider can help you decide if testing is right for you.
Treat: TB is curable and treatment is available. There are several treatment options available to help you and your community stay healthy.

Groundwater: Understand. Test. Protect. 💧

As we wrap up National Groundwater Awareness Week, we’re celebrating the work happening across Ohio to better understand, test, and protect one of our most important natural resources.

From ODNR’s hydrogeologists who collect and map groundwater quantity to Ohio Department of Health’s technical assistance for maintaining private water systems, to the Ohio EPA team identifying source water protection areas and supporting public water systems, Ohio’s agencies are working every day to keep our groundwater clean and sustainable.

Millions of Ohioans rely on groundwater for drinking water, agriculture, and industry.🌱🫗🏢 Protecting it isn’t just the job of scientists and regulators—it’s something every Ohioan can take part in.

Take time to learn where your drinking water comes from, test your private well if you have one, and follow best practices to prevent contamination at home. Small steps truly make a big difference in keeping our groundwater safe for future generations.

Let’s keep the momentum going—stay informed, stay engaged, and help protect Ohio’s groundwater. 💯👏

💧Testing regularly for bacteria.
💧Visually evaluating the well head for damage.
