This is a quick & easy breakfast that combines three foods that are healthy for the brain. The egg contains B-Vitamins that delay cognitive decline & prevent brain shrinkage, whole-grain bread is loaded with fiber, & the avocado provides healthy fats.
Roma tomatoes are a great source of potassium & Vitamin C & many other nutrients including Vitamin A, lutein, Zeaxanthin, & lycopene. These nutrients are important for your vision and immunity.

Here are some healthy snack ideas to try:

Fresh Vegetables & Hummus - Nowadays, there is a huge selection of hummus available in your local grocery store. Take advantage of the fresh vegetables already cut up and ready to go in the produce section. Hummus will provide protein, brain-boosting essential fatty acids & calcium.

Homemade Trail Mix - Combine your favorite nuts such as pecans, almonds, cashew nuts & pistachios. Toss with some pumpkin seeds & dried cranberries & store in an airtight container. Avoid store-bought kind because it is often loaded with hydrogenated oils, salt & the fruit is coated in sugar.

Roasted Chickpeas - These are deliciously roasted in the oven with a pinch of salt & chili powder or toss in parmasen & garlic powder or cinnamon & honey for a sweet treat. Chickpeas are loaded with protein & fiber and quite tasty roasted in the oven at 375 degress for 45-50 minutes.
