Dr. Straka is a board certified and fellowship trained Oculofacial Plastic Surgeon specializing in surgical and non-surgical eyelid, peri-orbital, and facial rejuvenation. He is highly trained in cosmetic eyelid, eyebrow, eye socket, and facial surgery including upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), endoscopic brow and forehead lift, facelift, neck lift, and neck liposuction, and non-surgical neck lift procedures. It is performed under local anesthetic in the office, and takes approximately 45 minutes. It gives patients the perfect combination of real, lasting results without significant downtime. Very few things in plastic surgery can achieve such significant yet natural results with minimal downtime and pain as upper blepharoplasty. This patient is about 2 months out from surgery and has regained her youthful, vibrant, beautiful eyes. This is a 20 minute procedure performed under local anesthesia in my office, or occasionally monitored sedation in the outpatient surgery center if a patient desires. Truly one of the biggest bang for your buck procedures out there and one of my favorite to perform.

This patient is 3 months out from lower face and necklift, lower blepharoplasty, and combination of deep CO2 and erbium contour TRL laser resurfacing. She also had lip filler by the talented .aesthetics. Huge improvement in deep wrinkles around the mouth, skin laxity of the lower face and neck, and just overall natural improvement in facial contours, volume, and balance. Turning back the clock with a customized surgical plan. This patient is 2 months out from endoscopic brow and temple lift combined lower face and neck lift. I used elements of a deep plane and high SMAS lift to achieve a significant yet completely natural transformation. She is such a sweet and positive person and it has been a pleasure helping her achieve her goals.

This wonderful patient of mine put together a nice photo diary of her recent face and neck lift surgery with me. I have also included her one week before and after photos from my office. While everyone heals differently I think this gives patients with similar skin type and anatomy an idea of what healing from a deep neck and facelift entails. She’s thrilled with her results and I couldn’t be happier for her. Helping a longtime patient with a big life decision and seeing her through it give me and my team great satisfaction in what we do. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

What does healing typically look like after surgery? It can vary significantly from patient to patient because many factors are at play. This patient is just 6 days out from upper and lower blepharoplasty along with lower face and neck lift. This is a fairly typical amount of bruising and swelling for the surgeries performed. I combined elements of a high SMAS midface and deep plane lower face/neck lift for the facelift. Not every patient gets the exact same technique but I find this to be a very effective, long lasting surgery for my patients. Within the next week most if not all of her bruising will be completely gone and then we wait for swelling to resolve, tissue to settle, and incisions to soften. This patient is from out of state so most likely I won’t have her final after photos from my camera but I already know we hit a home run for her and I’m thankful that she was willing to share her surgery journey.

Before and 10 months after lower blepharoplasty, fat transfer, and laser resurfacing. A permanent, life changing transformation for this lovely patient of mine. She is from out of state but traveled in to see me today with her mother who is having surgery with me so I get to see her final results in person! Couldn’t be happier for her!
