Community Update – Columbus
City leaders are aware of reports that federal immigration enforcement (ICE) may be increasing activity in parts of Columbus, including reports of stops on the northeast side of the city.
ICE operations are federal actions and are not directed or assisted by the City of Columbus. The City’s stance remains clear: Columbus does not use city resources or police to enforce federal immigration law. Local police are here to protect public safety for everyone, regardless of immigration status.
Residents should continue to feel safe calling 911 or Columbus Police in emergencies. City services and essential support remain available to all.
Community members are encouraged to know their rights, stay calm, and seek legal guidance if needed. More information and updates are available at https://www.columbus.gov/Government/Mayors-Office/All-of-Us
Columbus remains a city where everyone belongs.
