Our big event of the week was the Independent Living Thanksgiving Dinner, but here's what else was happening recently:
🍪The 40th Anniversary Cookbooks are for sale in the lobby and make a great Christmas gift!
🎻Our folk band friends were back in the Healthcare Center to bring joy to our long-term care and rehab residents.
🎶Volunteer Jim Ward brought his regularly-scheduled Music To Make Your Smile program to Assisted Living.
🌼Our craft class participants made Thanksgiving arrangements.
🍩Lovely treats from Buckeye Donuts made their weekly, Thursday morning appearance in the Multi-Purpose Room.

Despite the rain and adverse traffic conditions, our annual Independent Living Family Thanksgiving Dinner was a success!

Residents and their families gathered in the Multi-Purpose Room for a Thanksgiving feast prepared by our dietary staff who deserve a huge round of applause along with the staff members and volunteers who worked to prepare, serve, and clean up after the meal.

If you're going to throw a Buckeye Tailgate Party, you might as well do it RIGHT.

Our friend Bill Rabinowitz spoke about this year's Buckeye football team and his new book "Buckeye Brotherhood". Then we were treated to Ohio State-themed classics by the Buckeye Blend Quartet. Last but not least, Brutus himself crashed the party, serving buckeyes, posing for selfies, and getting everyone pumped up for tomorrow's game against UCLA.

I think you could say it was a pretty good Friday afternoon!

Some highlights from the past week at the Village:
👻We ate too much candy at the Halloween party.
🎁The Annual Craft & Gift Show was a big success!
🎻The Healthcare Center enjoyed our visiting folk band.
🍂The grounds are looking beautiful in fall colors.
🍿Everyone has been enjoying weekly screenings of The Chosen.
🌹There's a single rose in the front landscaping who thinks it's still June!
