Women face a higher risk of developing certain eye diseases and conditions than men. Prevent Blindness provides a variety of free educational resources for both the public and healthcare professionals, including videos, fact sheets, social media graphics, and informational web pages.

A Lorain school nurse commented that the best part of the training was “learning about different visual problems as well as community resources available to assist students and their families.” This free training was made possible in part through the Save Our Sight Fund https://bit.ly/3TWPQD8 at the Ohio Department of Health.

The focus of the Save Our Sight Fund is to provide early detection of vision problems and the promotion of good eye health and safety.
