This message of prevention is Prevent Blindness' most important tool in touching lives and our dedicated staff, volunteers, collaborators and partners all work together to change lives and save sight with compelling information that encourages healthy behaviors... with resources to help those in need to access free and affordable eye care and eyeglasses... and, by giving healthy vision a voice in the arena of public policy. A Cincinnati school nurse commented that the best part of the training was “the visual training videos providing the step-by-step guidance in using the equipment.” This free training was made possible in part through the Save Our Sight Fund https://bit.ly/3TWPQD8 at the Ohio Department of Health.

The focus of the Save Our Sight Fund is to provide early detection of vision problems and the promotion of good eye health and safety.

PBO's Southwest Ohio People of Vision Celebration luncheon featured keynote speaker, Matthew Randazzo, President & CEO of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation & moderated by Michelle Hopkins. Randazzo shared his passion for Cincinnati and its growth with a focus on the younger generations. PBO also presented its Community Partner in Vision Award to Warren County Health District for their critical role in bringing vision care to medically underserved communities.

PBO's Northeast Ohio People of Vision Celebration luncheon featured keynote speaker, Monica Robins, award-winning Senior Health Correspondent for WKYC Studios, moderated by WKYC's Christi Paul. Robins shared her compelling story of her struggles with having a rare brain tumor behind her eye. PBO also presented its Community Partner in Vision Award to MedWish Medworks for their critical role in bringing vision care to medically underserved communities.
